| Skateboard Boy This song was written and recorded circa 1977-1978 by the Nits. It was never put on an album, but it was played live a lot in the late '70s. During the Nits (Debut Album) Tour of 1977-1979 they played it similar to the studio version. During the 1979-1980 Tent Tour the song lost its lyrics and it was played as an instrumental. The next incarnation of the song was in 1980 on a demo version of Different Kitchen of New Flat, where the music formed the basis of this song. Later on they scrapped that and wrote new music for the song, but the rhythm is still very similar to Skateboard Boy. Then it was silent for 20 years for this song, until coverband LICE dug it up and played it on November 19th 2000 at Greatest Nits INC, much to the surprise of everyone in the audience (on the official website you can hear the LICE version in the Mailbox section).
