(3360 kb)Long Forgotten Story
This segues out of Torni and should be played immediately after yesterday’s file (Torni - Music For Two Towers). This song was only played during this tour and unfortunately never reappeared in setlists again after 1991. Haarlem

(3591 kb)Torni – Music For Two Towers
This song was released in some shops on a promo single that came with the Giant Normal Dwarf album. The original version is about 10 minutes long. The GND Tour featured this shorter version. The two remote controlled towers that were on stage performed a dance while this was played. This version was originally broadcast on the radio, but had the presenter talking over it explaining what was going on. This is the version without talking! Requested by Maarten.Haarlem

(5871 kb)Concert Medley 2
This is the second part of the concert medley. This part covers a lot of songs from after the intermission. Between the two parts the band actually took a little rest, sitting and lying on the stage… After the show they were extremely proud of this medley! Audience recording. Requested by Jos.Hengelo

(4230 kb)Concert Medley 1
At the request section during the Ting concert in Hengelo someone requested the all the previously played songs. Surprisingly the band actually did this and played a completely improvised medley of all the songs. This is the pre-intermission section. Audience recording. Requested by Jos.Hengelo

(6775 kb)King Of Belgium
This was the B-side to the Giant Normal Dwarf single and it was performed during the GND Tour. It featured Henk wearing a crown and a huge outfit that was rolled on to the stage. Recorded at the Swiss Paleo Festival where the Nits have performed several times. It was broadcast live on the radio. Requested by Jasper.Nyon

(6564 kb)Nits & Orchestra – Room #7 Moved By Her
The Hjuvi project was once performed after the original recording and
concert in 1992. This occurred in Switzerland at the end of the Ting Tour.
A local orchestra from Winterthur played the whole composition with the
Nits. The band played a regular concert after the orchestral part. There
was again a planned performance of Hjuvi in 1994, but unfortunately that
was cancelled at the last moment.Winterthur

(3776 kb)Tutti Ragazzi / Telstar
A fun version of Tutti Ragazzi. It was always played in the beginning of
the Nest Tour, but it was dropped from the setlists after a few weeks.
This version from near the end of the tour was the result of a request. It
has a great intro and a quote of the 60s song Telstar in the instrumental
section. In the early years they always included this quote in the song,
so it's great they hadn't forgotten about this! Audience recording.

(3457 kb)Acres Of Tintoretto
This is the original arrangement of Acres Of Tintoretto. Most songs from
the Kilo album were first recorded in uptempo versions, but this is the
only one of which the original version is circulating. In concert the band
used to play it similar to this version, it wasn't until 1989 before they
played it in the jazzy quiet arrangement.Demo 1983 Dennis

(5580 kb)Loudspeaker
This is an unreleased Nits song that was recorded as a demo in the period
before the debut album. To me it sounds almost like a song by The Who.Demo 1977 Dennis

(4866 kb)Empty Room
This is one of the heaviest Nits songs on record and in the early tours it
was even wilder live. For the Adieu Sweet Bahnhof Tour they rearranged the
song somewhat and made it less guitar-based. The song still is pretty
heavy, because the sequenced synthesizer sounds take over to drive the
song along.Zürich

(6050 kb)Henk, Arwen & Titia – Crime & Punishment
Arwen and Titia were both in Den Bosch in on the day Henk had his solo
performance there. They met and decided to do one song together. Henk
dedicated it to Theo van Gogh, the Dutch movie maker who was murdered the
day before almost right in front of Henk's house in Amsterdam. This song
definitely is a flash-back to Wool-period Nits! Audience recording.Den Bosch

(2706 kb)Stips – Walter And Conny
Recorded during Robert Jan's 1999 Greyhound Tour. He played a few older
songs, including this hectic version of this Nits classic. His band
consisted of Mark Boon on electric guitar, Judith Sijp on cello and Robert
Jan himself on keyboards and drum machines. A unique combination of
instruments! Audience recording.Den Bosch

This was recorded during the summer 1987 concerts. This is a great
enthusiastic version of this song. The intro features some improvisations
by Robert Jan. He is quoting something that sounds very familiar, but I
can't recall what it is. Any help would be appreciated…Nyon

(5872 kb)Frits – Leven Na De Dood
This was taken from the official Frits live video. At the time this was a
rather unknown song. It's originally a Bob Dylan song (Death Is Not The
End) that was translated by Freek de Jonge. He had performed it by himself
in earlier shows using the street organ that is also heard in this
version. It was used again for the Frits project and a few years later he
recorded it again together with Stips. He changed the lyrics once again to
be a humorous take on some current affairs and it went, to everyone's
surprise, to number 1 in the Dutch top 40! The Frits version is a bit more
general, but very nice to hear.

(4146 kb)I Don't Really Know
This often was the last song during concerts of the Kilo Tour. I think
it's an unreleased Nits tune. During the Kilo period they recorded several
uptempo songs, some of those were rearranged to slower versions for the
album and some remained unreleased, this is probably one of the unreleased
ones. The title is uncertain.Den Bosch
